"Been a little busy," Bel growled when he called back. "Piper's missing. Like completely gone, like she never existed. Phoebe's a basket case."

"She's not the only one," Iabel replied, helpfully covering both missing people and her own current emotional state in one sentence. "My family's gone. Chris is gone. Family and friends of other students and alumni. Get everyone to Fandom. For the moment it seems like the only safe place."

"Phoebe and Anders are here," Bel confirmed. "Not sure about everybody else. I haven't seen them around but that's not unusual. No one's vanished from Fandom?"

Not even Anakin? So not fair.

"Not that I know of, and I've been listening to radio. They'd know if anyone did. And this morning it sounds like they might have a lead on what's causing it." It was a tiny hope. But one Isabel was going to cling to.

"They do? What kind of lead? What's causing it?" Bel asked.

[izzyalienqueen]

"I'm not sure. They said something about auditors causing trouble," she explained. "I'm hoping it's a lead. And not another crisis."

"Auditors, huh? Not Avatars?" Bel said, remembering his encounter with them not long ago. "Never heard of them. But if they're behind this, they're going to meet the business end of a fireball."

"You're going to have to wait in line." A very long line at this rate.
