I enjoyed it too. My one real complaint is that, as often happens nowadays, the background music made it difficult to hear some of the dialogue.

Glad it wasn't just me.

I didn't think it was as bad as is sometimes the case, but I agree it could be better.

Funny, I listen to music all the time, and I almost never notice the background music in the episodes. The only thing I remember from last night was the guitar feedback. And was the a variant of the Dr Who theme he was playing?

Nice to see classic daleks back.

Very fan-servicey. Even the heavy weapons dalek got a look in.

Bow down before the Special Weapons Dalek, unbeliever!

:D

It's a shame they didn't mount their uber gun on the special weapons dalek.

Though I'm not sure why the Daleks thought they finally had a laser big enough to zap the Tardis?

I'm assuming they didn't. But maybe they did and the next episdoe will be the Doctor changing the past to save Clara and the tardis.

It was an opportunity missed, not having the SWD delivering the coup de grace...

I agree, though - massive Dalek overconfidence on display. I suspect they'll be feeling less in control of the situation by the end of next week's episode.

The lack of reaction posts is because everyone is at WriterCon and we ate straight after Who finished; by the time we'd eaten most of us were too stuffed to have the energy to post.

I loved the callback to "Remembrance of the Daleks". "UNIMAGINABLE POWER! UNLIMITED RICE PUDDING! ET CETERA ET CETERA!"
