More of a WTF moment than a full-blown rant, but author, I've never yet seen a whisky/whiskey bottle which needed to be opened with a corkscrew.....

Google tells me there are corked whiskey bottles. I would guess they are more of an old fashioned kind of storage but not impossible to come across - especially if one were a vampire ;-)

Most single malt whiskies are corked, but the corks do not require cork screws. You just pull them out with your fingers. See image.
