It's in the content guidelines:

Actions not allowed:

1. Multiple entries of the same material. There can only be one copy of any unique story on the entire site. No exceptions.

2. Rewriting names of characters/locations of one story in order to upload to multiple categories.

3. Copying from a previously published work (including musical lyrics) not in the public domain.

You need to go into your account (i.e. click your username at the top), expand the Publishing link and click on Rules and Guidelines to see it.

Maybe just put something in your profile on the old account to let readers know that they can see more of your stuff at the new one.

Thanks. I read the guidelines, but I wasn't sure if it applied only to plagiarism/blatant copy-pasting of one person's story by a separate user to their own account, or if it was just all across the board, even if both accounts were run by the same person. I've known of people using multiple accounts of their own, but didn't know whether they cross-posted fic, or how that first rule applied in single-person situations, so that's why I asked.
Weird that it's not allowed even when they are the same person, IMO.

How do they know you're the actual owner? Just because you say you are doesn't make it true.
