Rinoa's Shooting Star! (early work)

I'm going to be cosplaying as Rinoa from 'FF8' to Anime Boston soon, and I recently decided to try & create her most powerful weapon: the 'Shooting Star'. Here's a (small, luckily) reference pic:

good luck.. i'd suggest using a packet or two of feathers just on the rims for fun.

That you in your icon? Your costume looks excellent. And good luck with the Shooting Star, it looks like it'll be great!

Hmmm, so far its looking good. I also second the packet of feathers thing. Try finding feathers at somewhere like JoAnns Fabric or another craft store around in your area. I also would recommend gluing them on with a glue gun, as its one of the only things that feathers WILL stick to. X3 Hell, to even make the thing look spiffy I'd say put a bit of iridescent glitter dust on it. But alas, you have barely any time to do so, ne?

Good luck, and I can't wait to see the finished product!

(If I were you I'd reinforce the cardboard with wooden rods or something. Just a thought.)
