your Zell looks really good. is it made from pvc?

I assume so.
It's a children's leather jacket- but the bottom was cut off (even as a kid's jacket it was too long for Zell!) and taped to the collar, at which point I went to Dressew (a fabric store) and bought what they simply told me was "vinyl". I don't know anything about fabric/material, but I'm guessing that this polyvinyl chloride/pvc stuff is the same as what they called "vinyl" in the store. I basically just got a sheet of the red stuff and some blue and then it was cut and attached to the jacket by me and my friend.

your zell is really great. The detail on the jacket in the proper material is quite nice. FF men not being played by women? No way!!

XD Yeah, surprisingly, the only guys from FF at the con that got cosplayed by girls were 1 Sephiroth, 1 Cloud, 1 other Zell and 3 Zidanes..

There were quite a few male Clouds, Zacks, 3 Squalls, etc.

I think certain FF characters are more commonly done by girls, like Zell, Zidane, etc., whilst others like Squall or Zack tend to be guys.

I really like this! (Sorry for the delayed comment though!)

I've never seen any real good quality Zell cosplayers but you did excellent my friend! (Though the tattoo always seems like it'd be hard to do.)
