Farmin'

So, what's everyone's favorite KP- and gil-farming tricks? I've picked up Duodecim after several months' hiatus and I'm preparing to dive into 000. I hear this is where everyone likes to do the bulk of their farming, so I'd like to hear about what's been successful for you guys. All of my higher-tier characters have such poopy equipment right ( Read more... )

In terms of regular gameplay, the best way to get KP whilst expending the least amount of effort is the Cavern of Earth Gateway -- it's multi-level, contains a Silver Cup for doubling your KP haul and the enemies are low level. If you feel like expending some KP for greater gain then you can get a skill that doubles your KP again at the end of the gateway (it's escaping me what it's called right now), very occasionally it'll come up if you whack enough of the floating lights, but otherwise you can buy them at some moogle shops. KP Gambler in chains is good too. OH, the other thing about Cavern of Earth is that the enemies are laid out so that it's impossible to get to some of them without using chain skills -- almost every floor has a different chain so stock up before you go in.

There are other Gateways where it's possible to earn more KP overall and you can find Golden Cups and things like that, but in terms of the effort/reward ratio I find Cavern of Earth to be best XD

KP Bonus. You can find them in chests, but the Cornelia Moogle also sells them around your bonus day.

I only have one KP farming strategy and it's the same one that's on the Final Fantasy Wiki. you can read it here. I came up with the exact same strategy on my own before reading it on the wiki. Make sure you bring 5 KP bonus skills with you. The main drawback is it's hard to get KP Bonus skills except from the moogle that restocks every week (meaning you'll probably only be able to do this once every 5 weeks), but you get over 7,000 KP in a single go in return, so it's more than worth it ( ... )

I just go to the Gateway of Departure (first one) at level thirty. You fight two level 39 manikins and you can leave. You get an easy twenty KP for being below the Bonus Line. My brother can do it at level 1 to get forty-nine KP, but I'm not that talented :P

Of course, you can do the Cavern of the Earth and use KP Bonuses and get the KP like levikitty said, but this method takes about fifteen minutes per run, so it might be a bit faster overall.

Hope it helps!

My favorite is Gateway of Melting Snows + Multichain + KP Gambler + KP Bonus. Downside is that you need Level 60 characters to make a good go out of it.

This build is not effective in Time Attack. The no-gear!boosters do not work in Time Attack.
