Week 48: February - Submit
Initially I'd planned to do a Carnival theme this week, but I worried it might be too limiting . . . so I'm swinging the theme-door wide open.
Challenge: February
February plays host to a ton of mini-holidays & special occasions. Check out this list at Wikipedia for examples, pick something you like, & make an icon based around it.
(Holidays we've already done--like Valentine's Day--are still fair game if you can't get enough of them.)--Maybe you'd like to celebrate the contributions of loyal FF dogs like Angelo and Interceptor--in honor of the Westminster Dog Show.
--Or maybe National Engineers Week has you in the mood to make a Cid icon.
--And let's not forget that February is National "Shake Your Booty" Month! That's a whole theme right there!
--You can also incorporate February's flower (violet, primrose) or birthstone (amethyst) into your icon. For example, you could tint your icon purple & that would be totally fine. Just let me know what you're up to. ^^
If there's a holiday/special event you'd like to use, that *isn't* listed on the Wikipedia page, please link me to some info so I know you're not making it up.
Because National Basch's Hotness Week is not in February. Don't try to slip that past me. ^.~
When you submit, please let me know which February holiday/occasion you've chosen. And feel free to combine them, if you're totally crazy. ^^
Rules:
--Each member may submit up to 2 icons. But if you decide to make 2, please don't use the same style for both. Experiment a little!
--Icons must conform to livejournal standards: 100x100px & 40KB or less, in .gif, .jpg, or .png format.
--Icons must be made new for the challenge.
--Don't use or showcase your entry icon(s) until the winners have been announced.
--Fanart and doujinshi can be used, but if the artist does not want his/her work modified, please don't use it.
Icons are due by Thursday, February 22nd at 8pm EST.
Submissions should be left in a comment to this post. (All comments will be screened.)
