Yay River! I don't think Mal is going to let Jayne kill him though - pity.

I like how you described Simon as having a steel core, what a great image. Mal's worry and focus on Simon is so well done. Nice!!

Thanks! Yeah, even though this is no BDM, I figure River still knows the moves. *g* And for all his nervousness, Simon's got to have some steel in there somewhere to have withstood everything he has since receiving River's letters. Glad you liked this chapter!
