When she first arrived she was scared. So very scared. And so very lonely.

“Shelke Rui,” the doctor said-at least he said he was a doctor-and she was a little nine year old girl nodding in the corner, crying for her sister and wondering when she’d be saved. The doctor took her hand and led her away, into a room with many other doctors.

She did not leave that room for days and days.

When they let her out they informed her she was to fight. Get stronger. Rise above the rest. To claw her way into a place among the lauded Tsviets until she could challenge even the Emperor, Weiss the Immaculate.

She was still very scared. And very lonely. But she didn’t want to die. So she did it. She was not strong. But if she knew her opponents, knew who they were, what they were, all their weaknesses and all their strengths-knew them better than they knew themselves; then she could win.

She won many times and there were many bodies. But no one cared. And soon she didn’t care. Those were the weak. There was no place for the weak down here below the ShinRa Building.

Ten years passed and she was still a little nine year old girl because her body could never grow up. But she was no longer scared. And she was no longer lonely. Because she could feel nothing. There was simply nothing left to feel as she’d been through every emotion numerous times over.

Ten years passed and she was a Tsviet with a color-or no color at all as the joke was. And Weiss had a plan. But he needed her help. She found someone in the new heap of bodies tossed down to Deepground to be salvaged for experiments. Most were dead, as usual. But one was very much alive. And it was this one Shelke picked. Because this woman was already very strong.

When the woman awoke after the experiments, Shelke made sure to greet her. But not as herself-then the Restrictor would know.

“Yo, welcome,” Usher called and the woman looked up.

Welcome to Hell.
