oooh!! Awesome Jayne-thoughts. I love the last line! I always did get the feeling that "Money wasn't good enough" wasn't the real answer to Mal's question. :) Nice mini-fic!

Thanks, glad you liked it. I can never figure if Jayne is smarter than he acts or just cunning and all street smart. Like your icon,btw, though I prefer my MR bald, hot and looking at Clark.

I think Jayne's way smarter than he lets on. At least in terms of reading people. I mean.. as a mercenary, he's got to know who's going to turn on him before they do. I have theories about the end of Ariel...maybe someday I'll manage to turn them into fiction.

How about this icon...Clark technically wasn't in that scene, but I got the bald and hot part right! Plus, mouth open is always a bonus :)

Nice Jayne, and very sensible of him; he knows what he is, and he doesn't expect things to be different, as you demonstrated with this line: The Captain don’t trust me, and he shouldn’t. Also, I loved the paragraph about the Tams, especially "...walking bags of money." LOL!
