Wow. Really, honestly, this is the best Hojo-fic I've read. You really did such a great job with the dry-humor in this. I found myself laughing out loud at several moments. I think you really captured a side of his characters that few would look at. I just love it to peices! Really I do! My inner Hojo-fangirl is squealing. You did a great job capturing his character! I can only give you praise and chocolates! I love the last bit:
Lucrecia’s, and even Vincent’s, fatal mistake wasn’t that they had pissed him off. It was that they looked at the world and saw poetry, forgetting what it was. And for that, anyone with a clear mind would have destroyed them.

It defintely was one of those lines that made me jaw-drop from how spot-on the thought was.

But yes.. wow. Just fantastic. ^^

Oh thank god. I saw "Vincent/Lucrecia" and I have to admit I cringed, but my little snarky!Hojo voice was like, "dude, we could work with this". I have a problem that not everyone has my sense of humor, which is quite dry and unforgiving... but I am SO GLAD you got it! I'm still putting up the other piece later (of which I am kind of proud of, because I wrote for a character I didn't like much and managed to sympathize with after writing a bit for them) because hey, writing is fun. XD

I AM SO RELIEVED NOW. God, I've had this done... for a while and I kept debating whether or not to put it up here. But the worry is gone!!

And here's your second fic.

I blame that one on the fact you know what ICO is (yes, I stalked your journal to get a feel for what to write, mwhahaha).

Wow...it started off light and got progressively darker, I must say. =D But all in all it was very enjoyable and did keep me away from the chem online-lab I'm meant to be doing for a good while.

That said, I wonder what my chem demonstrator would do if I walked into lab one day in a skirt and high heels. XD Seriously, somehow, I hadn't thought about how inappropriately Lu was dressed as a scientist until now. =)

It did turn rather dark by the end of it, didn't it Cendri? I rather enjoyed Hojo's creative interpretation of Vincent and Lucrecia's dialogue. The little snarky part of me loved watching you slowly take apart the Beautiful!drama that is canon Vin.Lucrecia. How much angst can we possibly tolerant in one pairing! So, I loved that Lucrecia was flighty and Vincent was mopey. We all realize that he's misrepresenting their characters that that's kinda the point, isn't it?

And I seem to recognize that mysterious replacement Turk. That's a wee bit twisted Cendri. ^_-

I also rather adored the Chem 101 quip. I hate the fact that Square's female scientists all where such ridiculous clothing under their lab coats! CHEMICAL BURNS ARE PAINFUL. Honestly, she would've been laughed out of my univeristy labs for her pretentions.

The poetry line makes the story, in my mind. It sounds so very Hojo. I'm not sure if you meant it this way or not but I started to wonder what had happened to Hojo to make him stop seeing poetry. Life, maybe. Or maybe it' ( ... )

I am twisted, you know this.

And that quip was inspired by your rantations, m'dear.

I have no idea what made him stop seeing poetry. I've been trying to figure that out.

I didn't mean for it to turn dark, but it was inevitable.
