I'm a huge fan of these three, but often everyone gets hung up on Jecht (which makes sense he is loud and crazy and awesome like that). So this really warms my heart. Especially how you handled Braska!

I do love Jecht, so not focusing on him was an interesting challenge! I'm really glad you enjoyed it, and especially that you thought Braska was handled well; we see so little of him in-game that I think he's the hardest of the three to get a grip on.

This is *totally* my game, from head to toe. Sadness is so my porn. This is A+++ WILL BUY AGAIN quality W@W!!!! Braska/Auron.

Things I really liked:

The phrase concentrated distase because ho boy, is that *ever* young Auron. It makes me want to buy it frozen and make mixed drinks. Mmm.

Auron trying to convince himself it's anything -- anything! -- but attraction. And when he's forced to admit it: 'Braska is preparing to give all of himself to Spira, and Auron is selfish enough to want a part that is only his.' Dagger in my heart. Dagggggger in my heaaarrt.

And the ending imagery -- Braska and Auron, side by side on the shores of Besaid. Beautiful, grounding and lovely.

...I. I want to say WHERE'S PART TWOOOOO? I wanna see their TRAGIC PARTTTTING! But that'd be really selfish.

Oh gosh, I'm so glad you liked it! I won't lie--ideas for FFX were not coming easily to me, and I wrote a few hundred extremely tortured words on another prompt before scrapping it; so I didn't have as much time to work on this as I would have liked. But in the end, I was happy I got to do something with the Auron/Braska dynamic, because it's one that fascinates me.

And ffffasdfl;, it was so hard to write this without drowning it in angst, knowing what was coming; I don't think I'd survive writing part two. Oh my god, Auron.

Oh, this is gorgeous. I love Auron's conflict between what is Proper and what he wants; and he and Braska break my heart. I like the robe, the imagery of Braska shut away from everyone, and I *really* like how the UST is handled here.
