I can see dragoon, soldier and monk in your application, but I am leaning a bit more towards Dragoon.Your personality questions fit my idea on monk quite well, because I think monk characters are usually brash and impatient but also trustworthy and able to work well under pressure but your "Rate yourself " and the overall tone of your application remind me more of a mix between Soldier and Dragoon. Since you mentioned you don't want Soldier-warrior I think Dragoon is the best fit. You consider yourself a long distance fighter, you prefer to work alone most of the time, you're reserved, calm and logical, traits I associate more with dragoon characters than monks ( and you also relate to Kain ).
I considered a few choices for you, but I think in the end I'm going to have to vote you Monk. I do see the reasons behind people voting you Dragoon, but I'm not seeing Dragoon and here's why: on top of what everyone else has said, I think you exude an energy that strikes me as very monk-like. You may say you're calmer and more logical, but at the same time all your answers seem to point towards liking to being where the action's at. Not necessarily at the front line, but you seem to like it when things around you are vivid and exciting: you work well under pressure, you influence the leader heavily even if you are not actively the leader; you impulse buy and are impatient; you are quick to move on and don't linger in the past. There seems to be a very strong slant towards simply doing something and moving on, and a straightforwardness that makes me inclined to vote you Monk. My gut said Soldier but then you said that you didn't think you'd fit there, so my instinct then jumped to Dragoon. I feel like you're a bit too laid back in an overall sense for me to go with Monk and the "second in command" feeling of your leadership answers seems Dragoon-ish to me.
