Tifa and Lightning looked at one another before returning their eyes to the black mass on their plates. Yuffie said the black stuff was pancakes but both women were quite certain that pancakes didn't move around like this.
Their petite girlfriend was looking from one face to the other, waiting to see if they would enjoy what she had spent hours and hours on.
After moving in together, Yuffie made a promise to her more mature lovers that she would pull her own weight around the house and that included cooking and this was the result two months after that promise was made.
Gulping, Lightning went first, picking up her fork and spearing a bit of the stuff. Tifa followed, both raising it to their mouths at the same time.
They forced it in and chewed even as their tastebuds felt like they wanted to leap out of their mouths. Twin swallows forced the meal down.
Yuffie looked from face to face again, waiting for a reaction.
What she got were smiles from both women and she let loose a mighty sigh followed by one of her arms wrapping around the neck of either of her lovers.
"I knew you guys would like it! I'll have a lot more food for you two at dinner!"
Again, Lightning and Tifa looked at each other, each seeing the fear in the others eyes.
Half an hour later, both were crowded round the toilet, dry heaves followed by wetter stuff as the black stuff left their systems.
Panting, Tifa hugged Lightning's side with one arm, resting her head on the soilder's shoulder.
"The things we do for love, right?" she commented.
"Yeah..." Lightning replied, hugging Tifa back.
They'd have to confront Yuffie before she started cooking dinner but first they had to find the strength to stand again.
