I loved the presentation. The idioms and format didn't bother me at all. To be honest, most presentations are too slow and boring. Having the slides on auto behind you kept me thinking and gave me a sense of how your spoken topics can be applied in real life. It inspired me to learn more system interfaces, and probably to pick up Rochkind's Advanced Unix Programming...
So, thanks for your work. I'm going to read through the other presentations you have online, but I hope I can find more video.

Rochkind is a great starting-point as he focuses on specific areas but there's tons of interesting stuff lurking in google once you start digging. And of course there are the various volumes by Stevens on Unix, TCP/IP, etc. which whilst a little out of date are still great background reading.
