DOGS B&C Chapter One: 29-31

He was sitting on a church pew, looking at his hands as his head was lowered. He couldn’t hear anything, but he could feel his lips moving, like he was speaking. Whatever he was saying, it must have been powerful and deep. It also didn’t help there was a pain coming from the back of his neck.

He looked up, seeing a petite blonde girl walking on top of a church pew. She had beautiful, but small, angel wings. Her arms were extended, her wings softly fluttering to help keep her balance. She wore a Victorian like dress, which was simple yet fancy enough to look like much work was involved in it.

The girl looked at him, turning her head back towards him. She stepped down from the pew, sitting up on her knees so she could see him. She looked at him, her eyes full of sorrow. He looked at them, feeling like he had said all the wrong things.

She then reached her hands out to touch his face, and he let her. She didn’t want him feeling sad, and those large, blue eyes showed all the things she wanted to say. He didn’t push her away, he didn’t freak out. Instead he felt calmer, sighing and giving a little laugh. He liked this, and the pain on his neck started to go away.

Sadly it was interrupted, as he turned his head to see Eyepatch, and another man he did not know. He looked back at those eyes staring up at him. He gave a slow nod, and she probably knew what he was going to do.

He held her hand for a second, nodding. He didn’t want to let go, but he had to.

He had to say goodbye to the angel.
