Thanksgiving with the Kents [open-ish RP]

She was dreading Thanksgiving for the same amount of reasons: cooking and cleaning. But all of that would be worth it, she assured herself

"Damn, so I'm two hours early? How am I supposed to put up with you that long?" Lois teases, as soon as she walks in, alone. She did like her Always Late crown, but she likes her 'Always Surprising' one better, so it was about time for a switch.

Her gift to the hostess, this year, is a turkey made completely out of candy that she found at a cute novelty store.

"Good for you," she grins, "I'm guessing you've had names and all that prepared for years?"

She turns back to the pies. "No. We've never really done anything like that. It would have done little more than remind of us things we were sure we could never have," she explains. "But. I do have a name picked out. Though Jonathan and I have yet to discuss it. He doesn't want to jinx anything."

"Aw. That makes sense." She nods, "Well, do you mind telling me?"

She glances over to see that Jonathan is well-occupied in the living room, then moves closer to whisper in Lois' ear.

"Grace."

Lois grins, "I think that's an amazing name."

OOC: Actually, funny story? My cousin was trying to have a baby girl for twelve years, and when she finally got her, last year, she named her Grace. :D

Martha is perhaps a little too relieved to have Lois' approval. "Really? I just...'Kent' is such a hard last name to pair with, for whatever reason. And nothing else feels right. I think Jonathan still wants to name her after his mother, but...I want her to be an original, you know?"

"I understand completely. Clean slate," she nods.
