I very much intended to tell you about London, but my meeting was rescheduled for Edinburgh, so I'm now standing out in the dark looking at a castle. It's quite... impressive, really, even in comparison to the skyscrapers we have in Metropolis.

My father came from here. I think I told you that. Well. It's nice to have a little anonymity, even if the locals automatically take my accent for that of a tourist. I used to be able to match my father's Scots word for word, but I think I've grown out of that. Too many days spent trying to fit in with the aristocracy.

There are few lessons I'm comfortable learning these days. I guess you get to be a certain age and learning becomes...scarier than anything else. Though I think I've learned enough Machiavellian lessons from my own father. Thankfully they didn't really stick.
