Oh Martha. See, this is why I can totally see Lionel seducing her in Washington where he couldn't in Kansas. He'd show up and critique Tom Clancy and bring her all the Smallville news, and she'd melt. In my head.

Sure. She doesn't have sex for two years and she thinks Lionel is dead (post S6 finale), which causes he to be all, "crap, I should totally have kissed him". And then he shows up...
