Lionel appears in his limo just before noon, and leaves Alex in the car while he takes in the exterior of the building. He had been here once, in the planning stages, but now it looks quite different.
He enters the building a little warily, and is thankful for the "MARTHA KENT" plaque to guide him.
She looks up, momentarily startled. A bright smile appears on her face. "Hi!"
She's wearing one of her snazzy and stylish new outfits, which she smoothes out a little as she stands up straight and steps out from behind her desk. She gestures around the nearly bare office. "What do you think? Too extravagant?" She questions him sardonically.
He's smiling at her and her very nice new clothes before he has a chance to examine the room. When he does, he can only frown. "It's... rather minimalist. You don't even have a chair?"
She shrugs. She's too happy with her new purpose in life to care very much. "Delivery got sidetracked. I don't have a keyboard either," she explains, still smiling. "But don't worry, I like a challenge."
