There are entire communities on LJ where people post pictures of themselves in the hopes that the beautiful people will say that they're beautiful too.  It's not like hotornot where you rate someone on a 10 point scale.  In these communities, people get to make comments.  Mean, angry, hurtful comments.  It's bad enough that there are people so

What I find just as freaky are the ones where moms post pics of babies for the same purpose. Glancing thru a community's journal reveals rabid criticism, yet moms act shocked when their child isn't ruled as beautiful.
