I think my habit of trying to be everyone's friend might be a bad one.

After years of having no friends, and after years of making friends, and making more friends, it hit me the other day that sometime this can get messy. I find myself envying people with one group of friends, or who are smart enough to keep their groups separate. It's not that I  ( Read more... )

I have the same problem. As a result, I never blend my friends. And the one time a year when I do, namely the LOTR extended editions movie marathon (aka nerd-o-rama) is usually awkwardness not quit emitigated by food and film.

I agree though, why can't everyone just get along? Why can't everyone just befriend everyone? It's silly. Not being outgoing is silly. There is something to be learned from every person we meet.
