Hello, anyone?

Perhaps I should return to LJ. Facebook is turning real life into television: it's much too easy to sit back and watch other people's lives stream by. Sure, I occasionally post something about my day. Too often, when I post someone else's political opinions ( Read more... )

I check back here from time to time but never have the energy to gather enough thought to form posts. I'm sure there is a lot in my noggin I just need to shake it out.

Hope you are feeling better these days.

Thanks for the reply, Lian. The sound of crickets chirping (well, in my case, katydids) on LJ deafening.

Can it be that I can no longer form complete paragraphs? Has Facebook turned me into a single-sentence blogger? I guess it could be worse: I could tweet about everything. ;)

It's funny, isn't it... how dusty ruins are the vestiges of constructs that were ever so much greater, more human, more aesthetic than any of the shit we build now.

The quickening of the internet. Days here are like years in the outer world. The dusty remains of Livejournal... like hearing your echo in a cathedral overgrown with trees and creepers, looking at the stained glass windows, the saints, the demonic gargoyles, then thinking of one's own wretched apartment and thinking: "I would much rather just live here."

But damn the conversations were actually good here.

Hey Dave. Excellent Photo.

I find myself longing for what was on LiveJornal and elsewhere.

My writings here were, in no small part, responsible for Joe's falling in love with me.

I'm glad some vestiges are still intact.
