Pardon me for reposting someone else's blog, but it's a quick introduction to the FAIL that is the Texas Board of Education. While such behavior is not new for the TBoE, the excision of Thomas Jefferson from the curriculum (preferring, in his stead, John Calvin) has made international headlines.
