That bailout did WONDERS for our economy. That was such an awesome use of our time and money. Thank you federal government for that brilliant fucking action.

Things will eventually pick up, but I have my doubts about how much it will have to do with any action this government takes on the subject.

It's very doubtful that any government action (no matter who is in power) will actually make this better. This is called a severe market correction, and has been in the offing since at least 1999. All the government has been doing is delaying the inevitable. Now, they are trying to soften the blow. Unfortunately, by delaying it as long as they have, it is going to hit much harder that it would have if they hadn't delayed it.
