Thai red curry

We're in Wisconsin somewhere in a KOA and the smell of brown basmati rice and Thai red curry beef is making my mouth water. I'm also rather drunk on Absolut vodka and looking forward to a Buffy the Vampire Slayer episode. It's been a long time... and we've been through the whole series a number (uncounted) of times now... so we're arbitrarily ( Read more... )

Yayness! happy you're heading this way - *so* happy you're having good audiences - that just makes it worth everything, doesn't it?
I'm giving myself rest time this weekend and reading science fiction, making beef broth and roasted pork & mushrooms & taters for dinner, yum...
*love* - see you *SOON*!

Yay for Buffy!! Ted and I make it a point to sing the entire musical episode at least once every two weeks. It makes life happy.

The Buffy Musical... Hm. That makes me wonder who sings what parts? Do you do the dry cleaning scene? Some great songs in that episode...

Oh yes, the Mustard song is in there. As for parts, that changes based on mood. But generally in unison and as loud as possible is the standard!

I am pleased to be included in the ranks of your best fans! I want to say that I dye my hair purple so that hurdy gurdy players can spot me in a crowd, but the truth is... I just really like it.

Anyhow, it was fantastic to see (and hear, and sing with) you again. And it was also great fun to hang out afterwards discussing Buffy, Wallace & Gromit, Roller Derby, and other decidedly candid & jovial topics. Hurray!

Hurray, indeed!
Sorry to take so long to get back to you... I missed your post in the nonsense of getting home. :)

We had such a good time at John's and you and your friend (I'm REALLY sorry, I can't remember her name) were a big part of that fun, let me tell you. dadgaderie and I are very pleased that two such lovely people like our music and are also sensible enough to discuss "Buffy, Wallace and Gromit, Roller Derby and other decidedly candid and jovial topics." We're pretty much thrilled with being candid and jovial and it's good to find people we can feel safe with in that context and then add in the music and purple hair- well, just fun all around!

So I got my hair cut again and I'm going out today to buy dye!!! My hair dresser said, oh, go for it! and reiterated the good advice about the petroleum jelly around my hair line... I will post a picture!

Hugs to you and Roller Grrl!
