Disclaimer: I'm a Blue Star Wicca Initiate, not Feri.
I'm watching this schism with interest, as it has mirrors in the Trad. Wiccan community.
I don't think there are many Initiates who worry about being seen as "not nice." In fact the quote "Craft of the Wise, not Craft of the Nice" is often bandied about.
We are who and what we are.

Yes, I believe that this schism is very much like Brit Trad schisms.

In fact, when I stopped using the word "Feri" as an adjective for myself, I started saying that I belonged to an American Traditional Religious Witchcraft Tradition. While I sometimes use "Faery", I find that word is used in so many other traditions that it also gets misconstrued what I believe.
