It seems to me that one way to answer everyone's concerns would be to say up front that this is meant to be a discussion forum and that if you want to talk about classes you are offering, it needs to be in a format that invites and encourages discussion rather than the flyer-style announcement format.  Real life example:

It's better than the sales flyers I've seen and has bits of conversation starter included so that's good. It'd also cut out the spamish thing of seeing the same add in a dozen places, they'd have to write it just for here or. Hangs their entire style. That's all good.

On the down side ( for me at least): I'll still be seeing those obscenely high prices the %5&$ rock star Feris like to charge. A thing I find truely offensive. As well as the (to my mind) half trained barely initiated fools making a killing selling bastardized Feri stuff.

Still if we can't ban the adds totaly this is better than nothing.

Perhaps that would start a few.

I might feel more like it was a member of this community, talking about what they do, and not just some spammer, running through.

Or Worse yet, not even Bothering to 'stop by in person', but sending *someone else* to 'put up posters' for them..
