OMG wait till you get to the Deep Space Nine series: it is amazing overall and also has its share of really bad episodes that are a lot of fun to laugh at. And it has my favourite slash pairing - if the show had been made just ten years later, I'm positive that those two would have become canon, there was so much chemistry between them.

No need to apologise at all :) The pairing I was talking about is Garak/Bashir. Andrew Robinson played Garak as bisexual and was in fact asked to tone his performance down because he was supposedly coming on too strong on Bashir. But one of the writers (I think it was Robert Wolfe?) agreed with the G/B subtext and gave Robinson some slashy material to work with.
I wholeheartedly approve of Odo/Quark, by the way.
