So I have watched the first three episodes of Merlin (moar coming soon, LoveFilm tells me) and OH MY GOD, IS THIS THE MOST HOMOEROTIC FAMILY ENTERTAINMENT SHOW EVER OR WHAT
( Read more... )
I'm so sorry I'm spamming you, you were the first person on my catch up list. Yay, but boo for the spamming.
It's a bit shit in places, but in the same way that Doctor Who is a bit shit - in other words, not shit enough that you care, but shit enough to bring the lolz and be deeply enjoyable - THIS. You are so right, that's it exactly! Haha! I love how shit it is in places. I think at its shittist it may still be less shit than a shit Doctor Who episode (i.e. any RTD one). Could I possibly fit the word shit into this paragraph one more time? Yes is the answer. Shit.
Do you think you fangirl Arthur or Merlin? This was the first question slightlytookish asked me when she persuaded me to watch the show, haha! I think I'm an Arthur fangirl, or I certainly was at the start of the show, but I do love Merlin with all my heart ♥, he's kinda grown on me
( ... )
Stop apologising for the spammage - I love your comments to bits!
In answer to your question, I think I am more of a Merlin fangirl, because Arthur is kind of a dick (in an endearing way, and especially in a slashy Merlin/Arthur way, but still). I love how Merlin is kind of quietly and amicably snarky as well. He is awesomesauce.
I do hope they touch willies soon, though - the tension is driving me crazy and I'm only on episode three. (More tonight, though, thanks to LoveFilm!)
I got even more excited about it when I discovered that Santiago Cabrera - Mystery Sock Isaac from Heroes - is in an episode I've still got to see! BRB FANGIRLING SO HARD. JIZZED IN MY PANTS.
Ahahaa, you've discovered Merlin!!! I watched the entire first season a little while ago and BY GOD HOW CAN SOMETHING BE SO SLASHY?!!! It can't possibly be unintentional. The dragon can't stop pimping!
I love Anthony Head's King Uther the most (because Anthony Head rocks by default) but Arthur and Merlin are loltastic and so completely in love with each other I can but adore them too. Haven't ventured into the world of Merlinfic yet, but perhaps I should broaden my horizons a little?
Also, In case I don't have the time (or energy) to write an entry today, have a massively awesome birthday you lovely, lovely girl!!! *hugs and kisses*
Hahahaha - the dragon totally ships them. It writes fic about them, I expect. It's like a BNF trying to influence canon (or something).
I can't remember where I read this, but apparently the slashyness is completely intentional - the writers are trying to set up as many ships as they can, pretty much for the LOLz, and the actors are only too happy to play along. XD Which is totally awesome - and also a very clever move IMO, because if you have multiple pairings them you have shipping wars, and if you have shipping wars then you have a fandom, y/y?
On another note, thank you so much for the lovely birthday wishes! *hugs and kisses back*

No wonder the show's like a slash fan's wet dream come true! That is so unbelievably cool! I just love how much of an influence fans have on TV shows today. All my/our obsessing hasn't gone to waste! :D
Also, your icon: I was never a Buffy fan, and only watched random episodes/seasons, but I always loved Giles with a passion bordering on indecent. <3
It's weird, I could probably count the number of Buffy episodes I've seen on one hand (I liked it, but I just never seemed to get into it, though I wanted to), but that guy will always be Giles to me. Always. XD
