Totally with you. I can sort of see him putting on that kind of act for show (he's quite cocky in that Snape's Worst Memory scene, isn't he?) but I can't see that he would be anything but incredibly vulnerable underneath it.

This is lovely! :D I love Remus as the initiator and Sirius being the more cautious one in this instance, and I particularly love that you describe Remus's mouth as "bitey" -- that just seems very right to me.

And I don't know if you intended this, but the ending--the image of the unfinished books and cigarettes--works perfectly as a bit of bittersweet foreshadowing, because both of them, ultimately, leave so many unfinished things behind them.

Oh, and the pr0n is hot. You now have no excuses not to write more.

*jumps on you* Oh, YAY! I'm so happy you like it! And I can't stress enough - I'm sorry for how long it took to arrive. I had them the wrong way around to start with, and it took me ages to figure out I had it wrong and get them doing what they wanted to, if that makes sense. Urgh, navelgazing, enough of this.

That was sort of intentional, sort of not. (In that I wrote it without thinking about that at all, then thought of that meaning later.) I'm glad you got that from it, though.
