I used to use Delicious back in the day, but hadn't logged in for many a moon. I saw that they were migrating and that I'd need to accept the new T&Cs, so I tried to log in.

Except I can't remember the password and I don't have access to that email account any more. Not wanting my bookmarks to be lost, I emailed support. Their response? "Nothing we can do. Sorry."

And then the deadline for migration passed. And I am sad.

I don't know if this will be of any use, but there are instructions here on how to import an account, even if you've deleted it - might that work for you?

That's a fairly shitty response from their support team. Although not really surprising if their current behaviour is anything to go on. :/

for some reason Delicious has been lagging, too. I'd bookmark a fic (and I'm really sure I did) but it wouldn't show up in my delicious. Which was annoying :(

I noticed that too! It happened a good few times - I would get partway through reading a fic on my computer, then bookmark it so I could continue reading it on my phone, and then it wouldn't show up when I accessed it from another device. Bloody annoying.

Seriously! I think it's fair to say this isn't just a case of "they changed it and now it sucks" - they really have made significant alterations to the functionality of the site and the service they provide.

On the other hand, I've just checked out pinboard and I'm about THIS close to just signing up. It looks really useful. I'm going to have a good read of the FAQ to make sure it does what I need, but... well, thanks for the tipoff. :)

Why on earth do they unveil the new site without getting this shit fixed first? I was trying to search suitmeme's delicious, and it's a total mess.

IKR? It seems bizarre that they would roll out so many changes, all at once, without testing to see if they work properly or if people like them.

It seems to be improving a little, but there's all sorts of crap that still isn't working (I have to log in every day, for example). Pisspoor.
