OMG. So, yesterday was a very strange day and IDK what else to do but blog about it.

First, the backstory. Just over a week ago I posted the following tweet:

@CornishCalzone:
Oh god no. I can hear the sound of a trapped animal which has fallen down the chimney and is now stuck there and dying D: D: D: D: D:
For reference: we live in a rented flat ( Read more... )

Likewise! I hate them and I reserve a special loathing for people who feed them, but this guy and me, we were bros. He was too beautiful for this world~

IKR. I still can't believe this actually happened and wasn't a dream.

So my experiences with seagulls this weekend were not on the positive side, but yours looks sort of cute and harmless. How sad.

Eep, that doesn't sound good! D: They aren't the cuddliest of creatures normally, that's for sure.

One of them stole my lunch right out of my hand on Saturday, and proceeded to land in front of me and eat it whole, right there.

The only thing that I can be grateful for is that it had precision; it barely grazed me as it snagged my food.

Augh, they are such bastards! I'm sorry that happened. I swear they get more and more brazen with it.

Occasionally I've seen seagulls at the beach catching starfish and picking mussels off the sea wall. I rather like them when they find their own food. :P

I was seriously emotionally invested in this post. *HUGS TIGHT* I am here for you bb. I'm sure the seagull appreciated how you tried to care for it before its demise.

*hugs back* I swear, I couldn't even sleep that night for thinking about the poor thing stuck in the fireplace! I was so sad when it died, even though I don't normally like seagulls. I'm just glad it seemingly died peacefully and not by urban fox.
