Poor you - six nosebleeds is no fun! My boy who used to be an ENT doctor says it is probably just that the sneezing started off the bleeding again by disturbing the clot, but if it keeps happening go and get it looked at.

Yeah, I think it probably was just the constant sneezing/nose blowing, but still, it freaked me out, you know? And then I got all light-headed, which was probably all the decongestant + a mojito, and I convinced myself I was OMG DYING. XD I'm sure the GP will say the same as your boy anyway.

SERIOUSLY. It's only kind of sunk in that we've got a Tory government again... they were in power for the first 15 years of my life and it was NOT a good time. I'm absolutely gutted about it. They've announced the new cabinet and it's like, 99% white men. And one of the two women is a giant homophobe. Fuck. D: D: D:

I saw NOFX in about 2003, on their Rock Against Bush tour, and I so wanted a NOT MY PRESIDENT shirt, but... well, he wasn't anyway, was he? Because I'm not American. XD So I bought a tour shirt instead. They also had one with a picture of Melvin and Fat Mike and the caption "The Jews of NOFX". They are naughty boys. XD

*uses nosebleediest icon* The nosebleed thing has me worried too! D: I'm really hoping it was just a combination of muggy weather and constant violent sneezing, but you know how your mind goes to bad places. Especially when you're tripping balls on Beecham's Powders. XD

OK so! Culturally neutral meme. The only idea I've had is along the lines of breakfast, a substitute for the pancake one, something like "A special breakfast I have at weekends is ___" . But IDK. Currently that's all I've got.

Aaaaah, see, this meme is proving harder than I expected! I don't know how to word the question, but basically what I mean is sort of "If you actually have time for a big breakfast in the morning rather than just grabbing some toast, and/or if you go out for breakfast at the weekend, what do you eat". 'Cos in the US I'm guessing it would involve pancakes or an omelette or something, but here it would be more likely to be a fry-up. Assuming you weren't going to an American diner or something. :/

Possibly I am just obsessed with breakfast. I am a great fan of breky, it has to be said. :9

I'm sorry you've been feeling so crap. I'm sure the nosebleeds are mainly to do with the sneezing, but the migraines and tiredness might be linked - I have Fibromyalgia which causes pain, tiredness and migraines. Might be worth mentioning that to the doc? I'm on medication which makes me tired and unable to be as slim as I'd like, but it eases the pain somewhat and pretty much stops my migraines.

I did wonder if the tiredness and headaches might be linked - thanks for the tip off! I'll take a look at the other symptoms in case any of them ring any bells. I'm also a bit paranoid that it might be thyroid linked, as there's a history of that in my family. D: Ah, hypochondria! No! IT WAS PROBABLY JUST A FUCKING COLD.

Honestly, I can't help but feel that even if we hadn't gone along with Bush, we'd still have the Tories now - mainly because Gordon Brown was so unpopular and because of the recession. And because, well, basically, the Labour government spent ages ignoring the number of people who were pissed off about immigration, and then the right-wing tabloids basically took that up as a sort of crusade and set the agenda. If Labour had just tackled it ages ago - "For fuck's sake, immigration is not a bad thing, now shut the fuck up" would have been a good stance, but they were afraid to take a side, basically - they might have had a bit more luck.

Although, yeah, Blair as Bush's poodle wasn't a great time either. :/

Urgh. Enough politics. Cake would be great, I wish I had some.
