[Ginny Weasley is at work when she hears the distant bang and crack of the fireworks display. At first, she pays no mind to it, but something makes her feel like checking the network just in case, and... Merlin's beard, she was right.]

Fred!

voice;

[feorging]

I didn't Death Eaters the type to mind their manners.

[He's got clues, hints of what went down at Hogwarts under their control. But he is not even going to let himself think about it.]

Knew you could hold your own against them. Reckon you might be the better suited out of the lot of us.

voice;

[7thborn]

[For a while, there's nothing but the echoing booms of the fireworks overhead as Ginny leans against the outside wall of the club and watches the sky. She wonders if Fred knows, really knows, about the castle. She didn't tell them much over Christmas, she didn't want to risk her parents forcing her to stay home (though that happened anyway, over Easter).

And then she laughs.]

What makes you say that?

[She's stronger. She's attached, but objectively so, whereas the twins're always rash and Ron's got no sense of self control whatsoever. She's brilliant in all the ways they should be - knows how to bend without breaking. She's stronger.]

Innit obvious? Innocent face like that, they'd let you off of anything. You've got the Weasley Charm in spades.

voice;

[7thborn]

[Being the youngest means she got the best and worst of the brothers that came before her. She only ever wants to make them proud because she learned it all from them, everything that makes her who she is. Of course she carried on the twins' mischief, it was her duty.]

I reckon even Mum's started to catch on to my innocent face, Fred. I'm just too fast for them to catch, is all. [And then she snorts.] Or is this the same Weasley Charm that makes people want to date us?

voice;

[feorging]

[They aren't the best of role models, that much goes without saying. But Fred's damn proud of his sister, and anyone with objects knows precisely what to do with them.]

Just the same. We've all sorts of innate talents. That's what makes us so brilliant.

voice;

[7thborn]

Of course. It's probably why all the other pureblood families hate us so much. Our Charm can just about attract anyone into wanting to marry us, but no one likes their lot, so they've got to resort to marrying cousins. Makes perfect sense.

voice;

[feorging]

[There is a very attractive snort at that.]

Woe is the life of us 'filthy little blood traitors'. We just can't help how pretty we are.

voice;

[7thborn]

Everyone else is just jealous. Exactly.

voice;

[feorging]

This doesn't mean you're allowed a boyfriend, though. Not 'til you're at least thirty.

voice;

[7thborn]

No one here's interested in dating a ginger witch like myself, anyway. You've nothing to worry about.

voice;

[feorging]

What? Rubbish, everyone loves gingers. Who'm I hexing for telling you otherwise?

voice;

[7thborn]

[Now she's laughing.]

I thought you didn't want me to have a boyfriend? Shouldn't you be pleased?

voice;

[feorging]

'course I don't, but I'll have no less than a hundred boys falling at your feet for a chance to smog that pretty face of yours. How else am I supposed to get proper target practice in?

voice;

[7thborn]

[Can you hear her eyerolling at you, brother dearest?]

That's why I've set up a place to duel by the cabin. [She's about to ask him to practice with her when she remembers when he's come from. And she goes quiet for a few moments before trying to cover up the pause with humour.] No less than a hundred, huh? Well, I work at a bar, it shouldn't be long now.

[He decidedly thinks nothing of that pause, okay?]
