Work continues to be non-stop. I believe that we are now three months and counting with regards to having a work week where all of the members of both the purchasing department and the stockroom have had a full staff. Apocalypse Now is the only Vietnam film my dad will have any countenance with. Others might be more realistic in depicting specific actions (Full Metal Jacket, Platoon), but only AN actually captured the full breadth of just how stupid, crazy, doomed, violent, and spectacularly fucked up that war was (in his opinion).

It certainly does that. Just for the sake of masochism, I was trying to think if I could come up with a movie that was more depressing. The only ones I could come up with were Schindler's List and maybe the movie version of Pink Floyd's The Wall.
