However, you do realize that the "year of chill" also entails NOT getting strung out and worried about 267894 different things. AKA, don't lose sleep over planning the whole Denver thing.
You did mention to me that you worry about this stuff. Remember that you do have others to lean on. :-)
One of the oddest things about TV is that you don't realise how much you don't need it until it's gone. I miss a decent news service (God bless RTE News, but ITN and the BBC knock them into the ground for professionalism) but that's it. Everything else I get on DVD or get off the Internet. The idiot box is indeed dead!
Okay, I have to confess - I lied. It hasn't really been the idiot box that has kept me from reading at all. I actually arrived at the same thing you just said quite some years ago. I only pay for cable really because my Better Half grew up with NOTHING to watch, ever, and it is a luxury that I pay for her enjoyment far, far more than I will ever get.
No, the TRUE cause of my lack of reading time is the computer. Typing here, reading stuff here and on the forum and other websites, and now, WoW, on top of everything else.
I am ashamed.
I predicted, decades ago, that I could lose mass amounts of my life to the information available on these insidious devices. I was unfortunately correct.
Hence, the aforementioned schedule at home being set up so my time on this is intentionally limited.
I did state that I would post more; I will still try to do so. It will be the reading that I will have to speed up on. Either that, or be behind on comments.
