Spike Artwork Retrospective.

I've really only recently in the past two or three years really gotten comfortable with my artwork (that place where you're still hyper-critical of yourself but know well-enough that sometimes it's time to sign your name and be done with it). I thought I'd share some of my earliest fanart from high school along with a lot of unfinished newer ( Read more... )

You have really improved as an artist.

Thank you. :D My college art classes were intense and helped a lot, and it also helped that I try to do something different with all my artworks so that I learn a new skill while doing it, but once I learned how to really draw James Marsters's face, I lost my ability to draw hands and feet! My brain could not contain all of it!

I'm still trying to figure out a decent cartoony style again. I guess I can't have everything. LOL.

I am fascinated by artistic evolution, so this was a real treat for me.

AND SPIKE AND URSULA! SO ADORABLE!

And now I want babyfic . . .

Also, have you ever read Paradise Kiss? That Bathtub scene reminds me of it. Kinda. The manga-ka also wrote Nana, which you may be more familiar with (you're probably a huge manga fan and I sound like I'm talking out of my ass now, but I had to officially ask instead of just assuming).

And I DEMAND you finish that Spike/Oz/Fred picture, and then we could write a fic about what REALLY came out of Spike's Steampunk Spaceship of DOOM - William, Resurrected!Fred and Future Dreadlocked!Oz! Yay!

I'm glad you enjoyed it! Ursula means a lot to me because I think she's grown as a character as I evolved doing art and writing. She really was the most awful Mary Sue to begin with. Oh, God, she was mean too. I blame that on teenaged angst. She was the kind of character that just instantly shows up and starts telling everyone what they're doing wrong when she shouldn't really know what's going on. She's much more pleasant now, but she's just as fiercely protective of her manpire. :D ( ... )

I love your drawing style, and your sharpie-coloured drawings are so luminescent and lovely! The Spike and Dru et all dressed as the Strawberry Shortcake pals is adorable. As is pregnant Ursula with the teddy bear.

Now let's see some Angel/us with Spike in jammies. Oh hang on, that's supposed to be my department... :>

That was for your Nutcracker drawings, wasn't it? Those were terrific.

Let's see Angelus with a footed sleeper clad William, feeding him from his wrist! Or chest, if you prefer. :D
