I really like chaining meals together like that, too. So, the left over turnip (swede, rutabaga or whatever!) from our haggis dinner was mixed with more mashed potato to make a topping for the next day's shepherd's pie - and the last couple of spoonfuls of the haggis went in, too - which determined that the main seasoning for the pie was pepper :)
Oh yeah, this was very much non-dairy. It probably would have tasted a whole lot better with at least some sort of milk in it, now that you mention it. I think if I want to keep trying it as a soup, next time I'll add some Hemp Milk or something in place of some of the stock.
