Ow ow ow. See, if I'd ever given birth, I'd have selected a doctor I could browbeat into giving me serious drugs for just this reason! :: shivers ::

You're right - it's longer than a drabble, but then so is birth! My daughter decided that it was no use taking less than 30 hours to come out!

Just read through from the beginning again to get the whole effect. What a sweet, lovely story. This last bit had me squirming in my seat, ow, ow, ow...

But so sweet, and what a gorgeous little baby in the photo, pretty darling, congratulations!

When I think back to the whole labour thing, I remember long stretches of hospital corridor and 'Ow ow ow'! IT REALLY HURTS! But the thing is that the moment the baby is out - you really don't care anymore! Thank you for commenting and, yeah - I think she's cute, but then I may well be a tad biased! I don't mind lending her to Rodney and John for this story though!
