lol wtf guys

Why are people still ON that comm? Nothing gets posted there that hasn't been posted in tenimyutopia already, it's almost nothing but sales posts, the mods are never around when you need them or breathing down your neck when you don't, the layout sucks balls, the tags are a mess, AND IT'S JUST A CRAPPY COMMUNITY ( Read more... )

Well.. while Tenimyutopia is nice and organized, tenipuri_myu exists longer and because of this of course got (2700) more members. When I find a community of something that interests me, I join it, I don't really care if it's organized, got tags etc.
I just don't want to miss anything what's going on (including salesposts), so I'm not leaving, even if it seems to be a crappy community. Also, I guess, when you're a newbie, it's way easier to find tenipuri_myu than tenimyutopia (but I havent tried that out).
of course, when you want to search something it's easier when everything is organized and there are tags, but I prefer having a messy community than missing some infos :)
But of course I'm glad that there is tenimyutopia :P
I don't remember anymore if you posted on tenipuri_myu that there is a new tenimyucom.. I guess many many people just don't know that there's a better one, and maaaybe it's better like this.. :P

Yeah, I never posted an announcement about the new comm there because...well, it would've been rude to go in and say, "Well this comm sucks now, everyone come join my pretty new one!" and it probably would've been deleted anyways XD;

I suppose I do get the importance of having all the old entries, but if there's no way to find anything, it seems a bit pointless to me :/ And newbies to fandom will probably go to tenimyu first, which makes tenipuri_myu seem like a REAL utopia in comparison @___@ I dislike how tenipuri_myu is run at the moment, but it will NEVER be as bad, draconian, poorly run as tenimyu, thank goodness @____@

Because I never posted there, though, the only way to get news out is by word of mouth, or people crossposting and saying something like, "[x]-posted to tenimyutopia"--and since I usually do the uploads for fandom now, lots of people will miss out on downloading opportunities unless they know where to go, so I always try to encourage pimping the comm but discourage posting my uploads (wanna rip your own DVD and post? Go for it!--though it's not like I can TELL ( ... )

I agree on everything that you said, especially the part where you mentioned their layout. :|

Thing is, for months before I left, I had been going back and forth with the moderator (the only one of the two who was ever active) about offering to make a new layout, to update tags, to GO BACK and painstakingly tag everything I could. And she dragged her feet for so fricking long :( I am 100% convinced that the ONLY reason there are tags now and the layout isn't so bad and dated is because I left--case in point, the mod only contacted me to say she'd finished making some tags the day after I made the community. Argh. People.

If you're not that active in fandom anymore? Cool--I understand. Real life happens, you lose interest. How about giving it up to someone who wants to take care of business then? OR HEY. YOU CAN HAVE CO-MODS.

You were only trying to help and then she acts like that, not to mention when you said that the mod only contacted me to say she'd finished making some tags the day after I made the community. ARGH that pisses me off. D:< I don't really understand why she did and acted that way. I guess some people see credible people flying away, and then it's too late. :|

The next time you have an upload you could make a post on that comm telling people they can download it over at tenimyutopia :D That way it's no worse than saying "download at my personal lj" and at the same time you're letting everyone know about the new comm.

And personally, I'm still in both comms but since I have my f-list filtered to not show comms at all (they were taking up entirely too much of my life), I'm always behind on info anyway.

After arguing with the mod, I figured I was going to be banned anyways, so I left :P Like I said, I don't like encouraging people to stay there, so I'd rather not post anything there anyways (I deleted all of my previous upload posts anyways; yes, I am the childish type to pick up all my toys and leave the sandbox >_>).

I guess I just LJ a different way from other people, including taking it too seriously at times :P

Like a lot of people that are into Tenimyu, I'm a part of both tenipuri_myu and tenimyutopia. Though, I sorta consider it as an 'until everyone moves to tenimyutopia, I'll crosspost my stuff to both' situation. I'll just be your advertising for the newer comm until we get more people. XD
