“I told you. I’m trying to cut back.”
“Right, but you didn’t tell me why you’re trying to cut back.”
“I think it might make me sleep better.”
A pointed stare.
“You really think that’s why you’re not sleeping? Maybe you just work too much.”
A sigh.
“I read about it online. I think cutting back might help, at least at night. I’ve been stopping on my way home from rehearsal this week a lot, and…” A rolling of the eyes. “Oh never mind. Forget it. What do you care how well I sleep anyway, right?”
“Takashi…”
“Hey, maybe the problem is you.”
“What’s that supposed to mean?”
“Maybe I can’t sleep because someone always feels the need to steal the covers and the pillows and my personal space, which there isn’t much of to begin with in this tiny
