Well, that looks promising. I look forward to reading the next part.
Actually, I like this idea well enough that I wrote something quite like it about 5-6 years back. There's even one character that's in both stories. Guttercrawling Minds Think Alike, or something in that vein :-)
Interesting story...although I'm afraid none of the characters meant anything to me (which explains why I hadn't read it before) (other than Gabrielle, and even that's tenuous - I'm a lesbian writing femslash fanfic but (brace yourself) I've never managed to watch more than about 30 seconds of that show on a couple of occasions...) but I did enjoy the concept and the plot....
This particular idea has been rolling around my brain for a while...the updating will be slightly haphazard - as I get attacked my a ranting muse hacked off with TPTB somewhere, the pairing will nip into couples counseling...
Do you just not like Xena, or why haven't you seen more of it? It's not exactly high art, but it's fun and very slashy.
Blake's 7 is an old british SF series, with nearly no femslash content at all. It's a good series anyway, if you like snarky main characters who don't get along with each other and very rarely win.
I assume you know about B5? Ivanova there is a bit interesting in that she's one of extremely few canonically bisexual characters (Inara from Firefly and Jack Harkness from Doctor Who are the only other ones I can think of). They hint heavily that she's having a relationship with another woman at one point, and much later (when the other woman is safely dead) Ivanova confirms that something was going on.
Xena: Really haven't seen much of - it was on Channel 5 at just the wrong time for me to be interested in watching (I was studying Ancient Greek at the time and not enjoying it, so hardly my idea of how to spend a Saturday night) on TV. I may well get the DVDs at some point, in the interests of being a good femslash fan lesbian *g*...
Blake's 7: Know the show - old BBC shows are an absolute must for so much goodness...shame they keep repeating the wrong ones (IMO, never did like Frank Spencer...)
B5: Watched a few episodes but again, arrived to it on TV at the wrong time (when everything was coming apart, literally...) Will probably, at some point, also buy some key seasons on DVD but right now, it's a little low on the list....
LOL...I will not succumb to the huge plot bunny both you and Dar put in my head for cross-over fic...but I loved this and her's....off to check out the new challenges..I will write as soon as I finish a batch of icons..guh..hopefully
Do you mind if I ask why? (sorry, curious like that sometimes...)
Thank you....and I promise I'll get around to reading your fluffs when I've cleared this writing kick...it's great to have you in the playground with us :-)
It's good to be in the playground... although my fluff may die soon as I have a musical I want to try to get out in the world but I may slip fluff in when I get pissed at my created charries...
and to elaborate on wow.... it's so big and.... mind-fucking.... (is that a word?)
