I actually love this! Emily/Miranda pairings are so rare, especiall when they're as well written as this. It was a believable storyline and you got Miranda's voice exactly right, not to mention her mannerisms and personality too. I like the fact that it had a happy ending, so many Emily/Miranda fics have one of them secretly pining for Andy and it was refreshing to read something entirely different. It had just the right amount of angst and fluff, I think.

Miranda's whole "I care but I don't want Emily to know" act right at the start when Emily fainted was adorable, and the line, "“Emily, open your eyes. You may be very fetching but I would rather not have you as a permanent addition to my office decor.”" was pure genius. I could actually imagine Miranda saying such a thing in the movie, if it was, well, more lesbian. :P

Thank you so much for this! I honestly didn't think I'd end up with a fic so to see this had been posted was awesome. :) You rock. <3

this was really really good, a great take on an underdone pairing.

This turned out as wonderfully as I imagined it would. More so, on some levels, in fact. The small touches, the absurdly delightful Agatha Christie films, the perfect inclusion of Emily's artistic abilities truly finished the piece. This wasn't fluff, really, to me, because there was a depth to it, a slightly melancholy, more than slightly hopeful sweetness to it that moved beyond mere candy floss.

Miranda's voice was spot on, of course, but so was Emily's. Her confusion, tempered with her annoyance at Miranda and her high-handed behavior, was perfect. And the ending was quite inspired.

Lovely job, sweetie!
