Awesome narrative tone, really fits it perfectly into the time-period and sweeps the reader right into the mood of it. And I love Vastra's observations about Jenny herself and about her own frustrations with understanding humans even as she shows how well she's learned to read and manage Jenny. Love the proposal. So very sweet. And then the switch back to business that just feels so very them.

In other words, I love all of it. Thank you!

This is really sweet! I really enjoyed the explanation of how Vastra and Jenny could begin to go from mistress and maid to partners (in multiple senses of the word) in a place with as many social constraints as Victorian England. It also makes me really happy that you gave them one of Holmes's cases.
