It is late March, and it is unusually warm that day, already sixty degrees, and is still early. Winter was retreating quickly, allowing spring to flourish. The smell of blooming cherry blossoms in the air tickles Hinata's nose.

Kurenai-sensei had fallen ill, and Anko-sensei had offered to train Hinata, which she was grateful for. But, also made her nervous. She knew of Anko-sensei's quirky and rough personality, forcing her to be reminded of Naruto-kun.

After activating her Byakugan, Hinata strikes first, as customary. Unsurprisingly, she misses, Anko-sensei easily dodging her attempted blow her shoulder.

Anko half-spins her body, grinning at her. It doesn't scare her, though. Her left hand comes down at her, but Hinata quickly backs away, nearly hitting the near behind her. She'd forgotten how close she was to it.

Anko is already coming at her again, barely having time to dodge, but she somehow manages to. However she trips over a nearby rock, going down and landing on the grass.

Anko looks down at her, her hands stuffed in her pockets, the sunlight catching on the band tied on her head.

She smiles an odd smile at her, and Hinata's not sure what to make of it.

"C'mon, Hinata-chan, I know you can do better than that," she says to her, her voice playful.

Hinata knew she was right. But, Anko always seemed to catch her off guard.
