It's a novel by Emma Donoghue about prostitutes in, I forget what year...I think it's late 18th or early 19th century? Doll is an experienced, hardened prostitute. Mary is a young, naive one, though she loses the naivete pretty quickly.

Here via femslash_today. When I saw that there was Slammerkin femmeslash in the world, I knew I had to see it. Good job; I especially like the patchwork Doll line, and the way Doll is still so cynical at the end.
