Princess Jasmine has many suitors. An endless parade of affluent princes vying for her attention, each more rich and more sure of himself than the last.
There’s no reason Jasmine should ever consider somebody like Esmeralda. She’s a commoner, a woman, and the people of Agrabah whisper cruel words like ‘witch’ or ‘gypsy’ when they speak of her.
Jasmine does not care.
Her father is Sultan, he has power over the law, and so the law can be changed. Those posturing princes who snap at her heels like stray dogs will soon be a thing of the past. She has Esmeralda now, and the threat of political weddings and unhappy marriages melts away with every press of Esmeralda’s lips against her own.
Unfortunately, until her father makes an official proclamation, Jasmine has to endure these strangers’ attempts to woo her just a little longer.
“So popular,” Esmeralda teases as a fanfare of trumpets announces yet another prince hoping to win the princess like a prize.
Jasmine only groans, burying her frustrated frown against the curve of Esmeralda’s neck.
“Will you bother to get out of bed to see this one off, or shall we send Rajah again?”
In response, Jasmine’s arms tighten around Esmeralda’s bare waist, mouth dragging over her throat. “How could I ever leave this bed, when it contains such temptation?”
That gets her a throaty chuckle, Esmeralda’s hands sliding up her thighs, their bodies pressing impossibly close.
Rajah sighs and heads off to scare away another prince.
