"What did that light do to them?" Helen wondered.
"We made the light."
Helen watch the blond speak again.
"Regeneration," she said. "Only, when someone has to help, the other's pattern dominates. I was afraid before. I didn't want to be female for the rest of my life, but then I realized that I couldn't live without her."
"You're raving," Helen told her.
